My name is Timothy Michael Good and I am running to be the next District Attorney of Johnson and Somervell Counties. I am a Christian, Husband, Father, and Conservative Republican. For the past decade, I have served as a prosecutor and an advocate for the most vulnerable in our society. For the last 7 years I have served as an assistant district attorney in the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office.

As a Board Certified prosecutor, I have tried numerous felony jury trials, including those involving charges of murder, domestic violence, drug possession, child pornography, and sexual abuse of children. I have also made it a priority in my career to collaborate, support, and train with law enforcement at the federal, state, and local levels.

I am deeply conservative. I am unapologetically pro-Law Enforcement, pro-family and parental rights, pro-life, and pro-Second Amendment.

As your next District Attorney:

• I will pursue equal justice: case outcome will be fact driven, not people driven. I will not prioritize justice in one case at the expense of another.
• I will address the understaffing of the DA’s Office, focus on the current backlog of cases, and prepare the office for the projected 43% population growth coming in the next 20 years.
• I will seek to fix the lack of technological advances in the office and bring it into the 21st century in order for it to properly address 21st century crimes.
• I will begin to mend and repair the significant deterioration of relationships between local law enforcement agencies and the DA’s Office; we need these partnerships to be strong to keep our communities safe.
• I promise to enforce any and all drug laws passed by the Texas Legislature. I will hold the line on drug enforcement, but not neglect violent and sexual crimes.
• I will seek to create a Special Victims Unit to focus on homicides and sexual exploitation of children, and return online and in-person predator stings to Johnson County.
• I will ‘Back the Blue’ in more than just rhetoric. I will seek to educate the public on how poorly our men and women in blue are being supported and how they are deserving of our profound respect. I will also advocate on their behalf for more pay, training, and crime-preventing resources.

I believe that my background has prepared me to serve the citizens of Johnson and Somervell Counties as your next District Attorney, and as such, I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming Republican primary on March 5, 2024.
